Post subject: What does your business card look like?
PostPosted: Fri Aug 10, 2007 5:42 pm
With a few discussions on business cards, it got me wondering... What does your business card look like? take a photo of them and post them for all us to see and get ideas from... or if you don't one, show us your favourite.

Mine's on the way

Pete

My business cards are so boring compared to you guys and gals... I want new ones now..

OzWeb - did you get business cards or the mini cards from Moo. There products look great. If you got the mini cards - what quality are they i.e. same as a normal business card or thinner.

just had a look thru my cards again (about 150 or so) and only 1 had a photo of the person on.....both looked rubbish tho!!

i like the way you have incorporated your photo (presuming that is you!) into the card.

seems its a good idea especially for solo operators so people can put a face to a service....

Another one at http://flickr.com/search/?q=moo&w=51094627%40N00

I found the moo cards to be a little dark, although I think they adjusted that because I had the very first print round. It could have also been my cameraphone photos :P

I thought the service was great though. Very smart idea, probably a particularly good idea for photographers - although they do cost a lot more than getting the same card printed in bulk.

What different info should be on the back of the card ?

Should a card be just a goto advert for a well presented website ?

Should all signage be goto adverts for websites ?

I think a lot of people will go straight to the website on a business card if they want more information because it is easy and they can do it straight away. I'm not a person to call for information (20 year old.. :P ).

The other main use of my card is for when people ask for my details. I just hand them the card and it has the phone and address and everything. I do it mainly to save time and avoid typos, but I've even had a few leads of it.

As a website guy I should be funneling people to my site and converting them there, I think. Depends on the industry?

I have had some banners made to put on the front fence of my construction sites and they simply read my logo and website.
I dont need phone numbers taking up room because if the banner is on a road that you cant stop easily then check me out in your own time on the web.

Ross What age can I ask you for information ? I cant wait until then, you will be really clever.

If you feel your age is holding you back with anything, borrow some of my years. Infact you can have as many as you like.

Lets catch up for a coffee. Whats your movements tomorrow?
Anyone else ?

By 20year old I meant that the younger generation go straight to google.com or the address they know instead of calling or writing a letter.

If I was making banners I'd have the logo, website address and the phone number - because if somebody wants to talk to me straight away they can, but if they want to check out a website when they get home that's cool as well.

I'll shoot you an email now Ash about coffee :)
